Animoca Brands appoints Chris Whiteman to board of directors

• Animoca Brands appoints Chris Whiteman to its board of directors

• Mr Whiteman’s experience includes major banks, publicly listed energy companies,  a privately owned and operated mining company, and one of Australia’s leading independent wealth management and corporate advisory firms

• Strong knowledge of Australian securities, with international work experience including Shanghai and London

 

Animoca Brands Corporation Limited (ASX:AB1, “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr Chris Whiteman as Non-Executive Director to the Company’s board of directors.

 

Mr Whiteman is currently senior adviser to one of Australia’s leading energy companies. His previous experience includes posts at corporate advisory firm Taylor Collison, the ASX 50 E&P company Santos Limited, the diversified energy company TXU Australia, and Credit Suisse First Boston.

 

Mr Whiteman brings several strategic abilities to the board, including commercial negotiation, business development, investor and public relations, and equity capital market transaction origination, execution and project management.

 

He has considerable experience in Australian securities, with a focus on Adelaide and Melbourne, as well as international exposure via positions in multinational companies in London and assignments in Shanghai.

 

Mr Whiteman has a Bachelor’s Degree of Economics from the University of Adelaide, a graduate diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA, and Chartered Financial Analyst Level I qualification from the CFA Institute. He is well versed in international affairs, has experience in the culture and business dealings of China, and has a basic knowledge of Mandarin.
