Garfield Franchise by Animoca Brands Surpasses 30 Million Installs, Celebrates Garfield’s Birthday with Special App Promotions

Hong Kong – June 17, 2014 – Animoca Brands, the mobile game developer and publisher recently spun off from parent company Animoca, announced today that its Garfield franchise surpassed 30 million installs and that it is marking the famous feline’s 36th birthday on June 19th with a series of special promotions across all of its Garfield titles. From now until June 23rd, Animoca Brands is offering a price reduction for all its Garfield paid apps and a 50% bonus to all virtual currency purchases in freemium Garfield apps.

Animoca Brands holds the rights to develop and publish mobile games based on Garfield and other characters from the famous Garfield comic strip, created by Jim Davis and first published on June 19, 1978. Garfield holds the Guinness World Record as the most widely syndicated comic strip in history, and the title character has been the star of numerous television series, feature films, comic books and video games.
